Coasteering in Pembrokeshire means throwing yourself off rocks, swimming through sea caves and clambering across cliffsides - all with a qualified guide keeping you honest. What actually happens is you kit up in a wetsuit, helmet and buoyancy aid, then spend two to three hours jumping into the water, scrambling up slippery rocks and exploring bits of coastline you'd never reach on foot. The guides choose routes based on conditions and your group's ability, so you might be edging along narrow ledges one moment and diving off a six-foot drop the next. It's part rock climbing, part swimming, part sheer bloody adrenaline.

This is for teenagers and adults who can swim confidently and don't mind being cold and slightly terrified. If your kids are the type who'd spend hours in the sea anyway, they'll probably find it incredible. Fair-weather visitors or anyone nervous in water should probably skip it.
