Chester Hill

The walk up Chester Hill rewards you with proper views across the Scottish border country - the sort of panorama that makes you understand why this corner of Northumberland matters tactically and aesthetically. It's free, it requires no booking, and it fits naturally into a broader Northumberland walking itinerary. Don't expect crowds or crowds or Instagram moments - expect good air and better views.
