Spring brings bluebells through parts of it, which shifts things from 'pleasant' to 'actually rather nice'. Go mid-week if you can - weekends pull in a few more people, though never to the point of overcrowding. It's free to access, which at least removes the guilt if you only manage forty minutes before heading back for lunch.
