Durness Deep Time

The far northwest corner of Scotland doesn't get many museums, which makes Durness Deep Time rather special. The exhibits walk you through how this remote headland was shaped, what lived in these seas back when Britain was in a completely different part of the world. Durness itself is tiny, so this slots in nicely around walking, beaches, and exploring the coast. If you're staying at Sango Sands Oasis just down the road, it's a logical rainy-day stop or a morning's visit before heading out to Smoo Cave or the beaches.
