K & G’s Parrot House

A converted barn near Chichester that's home to an impressive collection of parrots - we're talking macaws, cockatoos, African greys, and smaller species scattered across indoor and outdoor aviaries. K & G's is run by genuine enthusiasts, and that passion shows the moment you walk in. The birds are well-kept and active, which makes for proper entertainment, especially if you've got kids in tow.

It's not a massive attraction - you can work through it in an hour or so - but it's the kind of place where staff will actually talk to you about the birds rather than leaving you to wander about. The noise levels can be intense (parrots are loud), which some find thrilling and others find a bit much. Fair warning on both counts.

Families with younger children tend to get the most from a visit, though anyone who's remotely into birds will find something to enjoy. The setting is rural and fairly low-key, so if you're after slick facilities and gift shops, look elsewhere. For a half-day stop while exploring the wider Chichester area, it works well enough. West Sands Holidays is only three miles away, making it an easy detour from your park base. Check opening hours before you go - it's not always clear from their website what days they're actually open, which can be frustrating.
