Millenium Woods

You'll find yourself walking through regenerated woodland just outside Pershore, surrounded by trees that weren't here two decades ago. Millennium Woods is a nature reserve built on former agricultural land, and it shows - the planting is relatively young, but that's precisely what makes it interesting. The paths are well-maintained and easy to follow, threading through mixed broadleaf woodland where you're likely to spot anything from nuthatches to muntjac deer depending on the season.

This is walker territory, really. If you're after dramatic vistas or dramatic anything, you won't find it here. What you get instead is peace, and genuine woodland to stretch your legs through without fighting crowds. Most people allow an hour to ninety minutes, which gives you time to loop the main paths without hurrying. The reserve works brilliantly as a morning walk before heading into Pershore town centre, or as a break from your holiday park base - Bowbrook Lodges is barely two miles away, making this an easy leg-stretch option.

The local glamping and camping spots - Bredon View, Plum Tree with its bell tents and yurt setup, The Springs - all sit within five miles, so this slots neatly into a Worcestershire nature-focused trip. Kids won't be bored exactly, but they're not going to be thrilled for hours either. Bring binoculars, a bird guide, and expect a proper woodland walk rather than a theme park experience. It's free to access and open year-round, though spring and early autumn are when it feels most alive.
