Pobbles Bay East

Scrambling down the rocky path to this eastern viewpoint rewards you with one of the Gower's more dramatic coastal panoramas. From here you get the full sweep of Three Cliffs Bay's famous limestone arches, with Oxwich Bay stretching away to the south-east. It's a proper photographer's spot - the light catches those golden cliffs beautifully in late afternoon.

Walkers and landscape enthusiasts will get the most from this vantage point, though it's not suitable for pushchairs or anyone with mobility issues. The path down is fairly rough and can be slippery after rain. Allow about 20 minutes each way from the main coastal path, plus however long you want to stand and stare.

What makes this viewpoint special is the angle - you're looking back towards the bay rather than straight out to sea, giving you that classic postcard shot of the three limestone pillars. Families staying at Three Cliffs Bay Holiday Park or Nicholaston Farm will find it an easy addition to a coastal walk, though younger children might find the scramble a bit much. The view certainly beats the effort required, and it's free - always a bonus when you're on a park holiday budget.
