Stubbs Wood sits near Edenbridge and offers the kind of quiet forest ramble where you might actually hear birdsong instead of other people's conversations. The trees are thick enough to block out the sky on overcast days, and the paths wind through a mix of deciduous woodland that changes character with the seasons.

It's ideal for walkers who want something genuine rather than Instagram-ready. Families with restless kids might find it a bit samey after thirty minutes or so - there's forest, more forest, and then a bit more forest. No spectacular viewpoints or clearings to break things up. But if you're after a proper leg-stretch during a week at Long Acres Glamping or the caravan park just down the road, this does the job without faffing about.
