Shell Island

Paid £10 to go here for the day. The person at the entry was really helpful and gave us a map and loads of information about the place. It's a really big camp site with different beaches and lots of amazing sand dunes you can walk on. There's plenty of toilet blocks dotted around (which are all very clean) At the far right end there's an outdoor cafe with plenty of seating and really good coffee...

This is a great place to stay with your camper, motorhome or tent and as a plus, no caravans. Great views, great walks, shops that stock pretty much all you'd need and a good pub/bar and restaurant with room enough for some big numbers in peak seasons. Some spots could do with a bit of levelling, but if your not too fussy and prepared to 'jig about', you'll be fine. Tried some fishing, but came aw...

Fabulous little getaway, plenty of land to choose from for pitching/parking up. Well worth the visit/stay! Toilets and showers all free to use! Massive bonus. 😁. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Shell Island. It is so unique and unlike any campsite we've ever stayed at before. I arrived at reception and was creating very professionally, they took there time to explain the map to me, where would be best to pick up tent also where and what times the facility’s are open. Once I was booked in you will drive through a security gate onto site and can pick a pict 15m away from people.
