Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Course draws serious players to its championship links, while families gravitate towards Funtastic Play and the trampolines at Ascent Trampoline Park. The coast here stretches for miles - proper sandy beaches where you can actually hear the waves instead of slot machines. St Annes itself feels like Blackpool's refined cousin, with independent shops and cafes that don't serve everything with chips.

Getting here couldn't be simpler. Ansdell and Fairhaven station connects directly to Manchester and Preston, while the M55 dumps you practically on the doorstep.
