Bron-y-Foel Dolmen Tomb

A steep walk through Welsh farmland brings you to a Bronze Age burial chamber that's genuinely impressive once you've made the effort. Bron-y-Foel Dolmen sits on a hillside near Llanbedr, its massive capstone balanced on upright stones in a way that feels impossibly precarious - you'll spend a good five minutes just working out how it hasn't toppled over in the last 4,000 years.

There's nothing fancy here. No visitor centre, no interpretive boards, just the raw thing itself. You get out what you put in.
