Carn Llidi Chambered Tomb

A Bronze Age chambered tomb sitting on windswept moorland near Haverfordwest - this is the sort of place you either find absolutely gripping or walk past without noticing. Carn Llidi is genuinely ancient, built sometime around 3500 BC, which makes most human achievements look rather recent by comparison.

Families with young children might manage ten minutes before restlessness sets in - there's nothing interactive here.

The site works well as part of a broader walk around the Pembrokeshire moorland, especially if you're based at one of the nearby farms like Lleithyr or Rhosson. It's close enough to Haverfordwest to slot into a day trip, though you'll want to combine it with other attractions - standing alone, it's a bit exposed and sparse.
