Allow an hour or ninety minutes depending on your pace and how lost you fancy getting.

Free to access and always open - there's no gate, no warden, no charge. Go mid-week in decent weather if you want solitude. Weekends bring walkers from Ashbourne, which is pleasant rather than crowded. It's not a must-do, but if you're based locally and the weather's decent, it fills a morning nicely.
