Killiow sits in that sweet spot between challenging enough to keep regular golfers interested and accessible if you're still learning the game. The layout rewards straight hitting more than flash, which means it's not going to humiliate you on the first tee - though it'll still demand respect.

Golfers will get the most from this place, obviously. It's worth ringing ahead before you go, as opening hours and whether visitors need booking aren't widely advertised online. If you're staying at one of the nearby parks - Carnon Downs Caravan and Motorhome Club is less than a mile away, or Trethem Mill and Trevarth Holiday Park sit a shade further out - this makes for a solid morning activity before lunch in Truro. Wrinklers Wood Glamping further afield would work too if you're mixing relaxation with golf. Allow three to four hours for a full round, depending on pace of play. Non-golfers in your party will find themselves rather idle, so this isn't an attraction with side activities. Families with young kids should probably skip it unless everyone's keen on the game.
