Standing at 1,023 feet above sea level, this modest Derbyshire peak offers surprisingly good views across the Peak District without the crowds that flock to more famous summits. The walk up from Ashbourne takes about an hour and follows well-marked footpaths through farmland and moorland, though it can get boggy after rain.

Walkers and fell runners will appreciate the relatively gentle ascent, making it a decent option for families with older children who fancy a proper hill walk. The summit itself is marked by a trig point and provides panoramic views towards Dovedale and the White Peak limestone country.
