Pen Llwyn-uchel

The round trip takes a good two hours depending on your pace and where you start from - there's no single marked trailhead. Families with younger kids will find it a bit of a slog unless they're keen hill-baggers already.

If you're based at one of the local parks - Lampeter Caravan & Camping, Glynmarch Farm, or Canvas & Campfires are all within six miles - this makes a solid half-day outing. It's the kind of walk where you won't encounter crowds, and that's precisely the appeal. Bring a map, check the weather forecast beforehand, and go when there's actual visibility. A murky morning means you'll hike for views that simply won't be there.
