You're not visiting a single building or ticketed attraction - you're getting access to some of Wales' finest coastal paths, beaches, and country estates spread across the county. Manorbier Castle, Stackpole Quay, and the clifftop walks near Tenby are all in their care, and they're genuinely worth your time.

For walkers, it's absolutely brilliant. The coastal paths offer proper dramatic scenery without requiring specialist kit, and most sections are free to explore. History buffs will appreciate the medieval ruins and managed estates dotted throughout. Families should budget a full day if they want to do more than just drive past - the beaches are manageable for young kids, though parking can be tight in summer.

Admission varies by location, but many coastal paths and car parks are free. If you're planning to visit several Trust properties, membership often pays for itself quickly. Allow at least two to three hours for a decent walk and a look around. Spring and early autumn are best - fewer visitors, milder weather, and the light lasts longer for photography.

Staying at Trellyn Woodland Camping or Prendergast Caravan Park puts you within easy reach of most Trust land around Haverfordwest. You could comfortably base yourself here for a week and spend each day exploring different sections without doing the same walk twice.
